At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.9% compared to 2009, reaching 13.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.7%.

Austria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.6% (from 11.9% in 2005).
