At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2008, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.3% compared to 2007, reaching 14.7%.

Belgium ranks 16th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.5% (from 15.4% in 2003).
