At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2009, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.5% compared to 2008, reaching 16.6%.

Belgium ranks 18th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.4% (from 15.9% in 2004).
