At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2017, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.4% compared to 2016, reaching 17.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Belgium ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.9% (from 15.9% in 2012).
