In 2021, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate of elderly people by tenure status decreased by 20.1% compared to 2020, reaching 15.1.

Belgium accounts for 90.4% of the EU-27 total of 16.7.

Belgium ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.3% (from 15.3 in 2016).
