At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2017, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 2016, reaching 21.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.8% (from 19.5% in 2012).
