At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2020, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.8% compared to 2019, reaching 21.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.9%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.5% (from 20.0% in 2015).
