In 2020, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty threshold for a single household increased by 3.3% compared to 2019, reaching 5,188.

Bulgaria ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.2% (from 4,176 in 2015).
