In 2017, Croatia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.6% compared to 2016, reaching 20.0%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.9%.
Croatia ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.0% (from 20.4% in 2012).
