Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2007, Denmark's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 11.1% compared to 2006, reaching 29.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 62.4%.

Denmark ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 41.4% (from 50.3% in 2002).
