In 2021, Estonia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.7% compared to 2020, reaching 22.9%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.
Estonia ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.6% (from 24.0% in 2016).
