At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2023, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 0.5% compared to 2022, reaching 21.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.5%.

France ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.5% (from 19.9% in 2018).
