Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2021, France's main indicators decreased by 11.9% compared to 2020, reaching 8.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.1%.

France ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.5% (from 8.4% in 2016).
