In 2012, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.6% compared to 2011, reaching 15.0%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.2%.
Germany ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.4% (from 16.2% in 2007).
