At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2020, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 11.1% compared to 2019, reaching 20.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.0%.

Germany ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.2% (from 16.5% in 2015).
