In 2016, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.7% compared to 2015, reaching 14.5%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.
Hungary ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.8% (from 14.1% in 2011).
