In 2018, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.7% compared to 2017, reaching 9.8%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.
Hungary ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 113.0% (from 4.6% in 2013).
