In 2011, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 14.2% compared to 2010, reaching 13.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.6%.
Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.6% (from 15.5% in 2006).
