In 2024, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.7% compared to 2023, reaching 15.1%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.9%.
Hungary ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.6% (from 13.9% in 2019).
