In 2023, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by age group increased by 2.2% compared to 2022, reaching 13.8%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.2%.
Hungary ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.8% (from 12.8% in 2018).
