At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2022, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.7% compared to 2021, reaching 13.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.5%.

Ireland ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.1% (from 15.6% in 2017).
