At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2004, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.8% compared to 2003, reaching 38.0%.

Ireland ranks 1st out of 13 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.8% (from 34.0% in 1999).
