At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2009, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 23.2% compared to 2008, reaching 16.2%.

Ireland ranks 17th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 57.4% (from 38.0% in 2004).
