At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2001, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.6% compared to 2000, reaching 19.0%.

Italy ranks 5th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.0% (from 20.0% in 1996).
