At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2009, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.9% compared to 2008, reaching 16.9%.

Italy ranks 9th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.4% (from 17.5% in 2004).
