Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Italy's main indicators increased by 13.0% compared to 2008, reaching 18.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Italy ranks 11th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.9% (from 16.1% in 2004).
