Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Italy's main indicators increased by 11.2% compared to 2008, reaching 12.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.9%.

Italy ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 102.3% (from 6.3% in 2004).
