Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Italy's main indicators decreased by 0.6% compared to 2015, reaching 17.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.0%.

Italy ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 35.2% (from 12.9% in 2011).
