At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 20.8% compared to 2009, reaching 20.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.5%.

Latvia ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.7% (from 19.4% in 2005).
