Prison population (juveniles)

In 2016, Malta's prison population (juveniles) increased by 14.3% compared to 2015, reaching 16.

Malta ranks 20th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 42.9% (from 28 in 2011).
