At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2012, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.9% compared to 2011, reaching 33.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.9% (from 33.0% in 2007).
