In 2024, Romania's at-risk-of poverty rate by most frequent activity status decreased by 28.8% compared to 2023, reaching 10.9.

Romania accounts for 132.9% of the EU-27 total of 8.20.

Romania ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 30.6% (from 15.7 in 2019).
