In 2024, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.4% compared to 2023, reaching 14.5%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.2%.
Slovakia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.8% (from 11.9% in 2019).
