In 2022, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 8.6% compared to 2021, reaching 13.9%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.4%.
Slovakia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.0% (from 12.3% in 2017).
