In 2018, Slovakia's net occupancy rate of bed-places and bedrooms in hotels and similar accommodation (NACE rev. 2, i, 55.1) (from 2012 onwards) increased by 0.1% compared to 2017, reaching 34.2.

Slovakia accounts for 68.7% of the EU-27 total of 49.8.

Slovakia ranks 25th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.1% (from 27.8 in 2013).
