Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Spain's main indicators decreased by 0.8% compared to 2015, reaching 36.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Spain ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.3% (from 31.5% in 2011).
