SustES – Adaptation Strategy for the sustainability of ecosystem services and food safety in unfavourable natural conditions

Climate change, combined with long-term changes in the landscape, reduces its ability to provide ecosystem services, including stable production of safe foods. The current solutions to the impacts of climate change and adaptation measures focus on partial problems and neglect the conditionality of ecosystem services. The objective of the SustES project is to develop holistic, robust and economically acceptable adaptation strategies integrating a number of approaches. This will allow the use of positive interactions of adaptations and services provided. a.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €11.4M toward a total project cost of €13.4M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.

Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund. It draws on lists of beneficiaries published by national managing authorities and harmonises them into a single EU-wide view.
