Microclimate Urban Scale and design of urban building environment
The urban microclimate plays a crucial role in determining the energy needs of the built environment for heating and cooling. In addition, the multi-scale effects that can be ignored in relative calculations, and a large part of the discussion, for example, about the mitigation of urban thermal islets and the proposed measures for cooling, is based on case studies taken on a specific scale and therefore the evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed cooling measures is done using performance criteria for these scenarios. About the Research, technological development and innovation objective
Thematic Objective 1 of the 2014–2020 Cohesion period funds research, technological development and innovation. It supports R&D infrastructure, technology transfer, business-academia partnerships and pilot lines that close the gap between scientific discovery and market application across EU regions.
