Printed chemical and electrical sensors for agriculture

The aim of the SPACES project is to create the necessary technology for the application of “precision agriculture” through innovative sensors that will provide real-time information on the state of the soil, in relation to chemical and other important parameters of agriculture. This technology should be low-cost and allow future development of high-density sensor networks in agricultural fields. The SPACES project will create the basis for upcoming sensor technologies designed for subsoil use. The ability of sensors to mount underground for a long time will be the key innovation, as well as r…

About the Research, technological development and innovation objective

Thematic Objective 1 of the 2014–2020 Cohesion period funds research, technological development and innovation. It supports R&D infrastructure, technology transfer, business-academia partnerships and pilot lines that close the gap between scientific discovery and market application across EU regions.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €130k toward a total project cost of €153k — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.

Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund. It draws on lists of beneficiaries published by national managing authorities and harmonises them into a single EU-wide view.
