Solar energy is a clean, abundant and easily accessible renewable energy source. The dynamic nature of solar energy makes thermal energy storage systems extremely valuable for many applications. Storing latent heat using phase-change materials (STDs) is particularly suitable for solar energy hot water production applications, since it offers high storage density and heat transmission at an almost constant temperature. About the Research, technological development and innovation objective
Thematic Objective 1 of the 2014–2020 Cohesion period funds research, technological development and innovation.
