Certification of New Technology Wind turbine
The wind turbine is 15 meters high and 15 kW power. The innovation of the wind turbine lies in the diffuser that encloses the flaps at a depth of 5.4 meters (similar design to an aeroplane engine). This particular wind turbine is an innovative new construction compared to existing Horizontal Axis Wind turbines (HAWT). Its main advantages over existing technology are its higher efficiency due to the diffuser, which helps generate energy at lower wind speeds. This wind turbine can also be installed in residential areas and NATURA areas due to its design. The certification of the wind turbine sy…
About the Research, technological development and innovation objective
Thematic Objective 1 of the 2014–2020 Cohesion period funds research, technological development and innovation. It supports R&D infrastructure, technology transfer, business-academia partnerships and pilot lines that close the gap between scientific discovery and market application across EU regions.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €249k toward a total project cost of €292k — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund. It draws on lists of beneficiaries published by national managing authorities and harmonises them into a single EU-wide view.
