“Marco Polo” SME Area
The project aims to create a reception space for SMEs with an area of 7 000 m². This space will be integrated into an overall urban planning project that aims to be innovative in terms of urban integration of economic functions, functional mix and diversity of housing.
About the Competitiveness of SMEs objective
Thematic Objective 3 backs the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises through grants, financial instruments, business-development services and internationalisation support. SMEs account for the bulk of EU employment, so the objective acts as a regional jobs lever.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €6.5M toward a total project cost of €13.0M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund.
