Port of Limburg: multimodal accelerator

Port of Limburg, a new multimodal terminal in Genk, will facilitate freight container movements via the Albert Canal to Antwerp. Located on the site of the old Ford factory, this inland port will promote the shift from road transport to inland navigation, thereby strengthening the Flemish and Limburg transport network. The construction of this hub contributes to the sustainability and efficiency of the Limburg transport sector and stimulates economic growth and employment in the region.
