PARC is an EU-wide research and innovation partnership programme to support EU and national chemical risk assessment and risk management bodies with new data, knowledge, methods, networks and skills to address current, emerging and novel chemical safety challenges. PARC will facilitate the transition to next generation risk assessment to better protect human health and the environment, in line with the Green Deal?s zero-pollution ambition for a toxic free environment and will be an enabler for the future EU ?Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability?. About Horizon Europe (2021–2027)
Horizon Europe is the EU's current research and innovation programme, covering 2021 to 2027 with a budget of roughly €95.5 billion. Its three pillars are Excellent Science (frontier research and mobility), Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness (mission-driven collaborative projects in health, climate, digital, security and food) and Innovative Europe (the EIC and EIT). It also funds five EU Missions targeting cancer, climate adaptation, smart cities, oceans and soils.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €200.0M toward a total project budget of €400.0M — a funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 7 years from 2022-05-01 to 2029-04-30.
