BTCure is based on the recognition that RA is a heterogeneous disease where a major subset involves adaptive immunity, and that animal models have to develop the line with the different subsets of the human diseases in order to be optimally used for drug discovery and drug evaluation. Our aim is to develop an understanding of the early process in human arthritis subsets and the animal models that will enable us and EFPIA partners to develop precise and eventually curative treatments to be used before a non-reversible destruction and function loss have occurred. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €17.4M toward a total project budget of €39.4M — a funding rate of 44%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 6 years from 2011-04-01 to 2017-03-31.
