TRANS-IND Integrated cost-effective construction process for transport infrastructures, based on a flexible industrialisation of FRP components

Polymer based manufactured components for construction applications have been designed, developed and demonstrated in European projects such as HP FUTURE-Bridge, SAFEFLOOR and MEGAWIND. The results are very promising regarding customer requirements, quality, technical and economical feasibility and the favourable impact of using this kind of composite-based components in terms of sustainability, safety and quality of life. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €6.1M toward a total project budget of €9.8M — a funding rate of 62%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 4 years from 2009-06-01 to 2013-05-31.
