SOLENEMAR Strengthening the SOLid-state research capacities in Zagreb by the introduction of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance method
Coordinator: FACULTY OF SCIENCE UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB (HR)
The Physics Department of the Faculty of Science at the University of Zagreb (PDFS) is the leading university physics department in Croatia with 70 internationally recognized scientists and 660 undergraduate and graduate students. A considerable part of the research in PDFS is devoted to solid state physics and materials science. Given that nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is today an unavoidable method in solid-state physics, we aim this project at complementing the infrastructure for materials research at the PDFS by the introduction of a solid state NMR (ssNMR). With this project, we shall…
About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €844k toward a total project budget of €946k — a funding rate of 89%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 3.5 years from 2009-03-01 to 2012-08-31.
