J - BILAT BILAT in Japan

Coordinator: EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation (JP)

EU-Japan partnerships in the field of S&T are currently underdeveloped and possess great potential for contributing to world class R&D. This proposal's main objective is to explore this potential and enhance EU-Japan cooperation in research and innovation by effectively informing the S&T research community in Japan about the EU programmes and funding instruments, thus promoting participation of EU-Japan joint projects in the FP 7. To this end, we developed a work plan which focuses on launching a broad range of information services and awareness activities as highlighted below and detailed in…

About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)

The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.

Co-funding: the European Union contributes €500k toward a total project budget of €612k — a funding rate of 82%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 3 years from 2010-01-01 to 2012-12-31.
