EUCOMMTOOLS EUCOMM: Tools for Functional Annotation of the Mouse Genome

Coordinator: HELMHOLTZ ZENTRUM MUENCHEN DEUTSCHES FORSCHUNGSZENTRUM FUER GESUNDHEIT UND UMWELT GMBH (DE)

The EUCOMMTOOLS Collaborative Project responds to the topic ‘HEALTH.2010.2.1.1-1: Large-scale efforts in mouse functional genomics to determine the functions of genes and their involvement in disease.’ EUCOMMTOOLS will provide, in a systematic high-throughput way, genetic tools and resources contributing to the determination of every gene’s function in any cell type of the entire organism at any given point in time.To contribute to the IKMC goals, EUCOMMTOOLS will establish 250 BAC-CreERT2 transgenic mice allowing inducible conditional gene inactivation in most cell types of the organism at a…

About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)

The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.

EU contribution: €12.0M awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 5 years from 2010-10-01 to 2015-09-30.
