The purpose of the Project is to create a practical link between Europe and Africa in the domain of satellite based navigation and positioning and related applications, particularly focusing on awareness dissemination, transfer of basic knowledge and education activities.As such the Project proposes the use of GNSS technology as a driver for the Mobile African User-Generated social, cultural, educational and economic Services.The Project demonstrates that a large number of attractive applications based on EGNOS already exist and can be readily used by a large spectrum of groups. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
